Joe vs The Sidekick?

From Today's Daily News:
GOP delays nominations

The Delaware County Republican Party's nomination convention has been postponed from today until next Tuesday, putting off the selection of candidates for the 7th Congressional District and other races.

The party is considering nominating W. Craig Williams, an assistant U.S. attorney working under U.S. Attorney Pat Meehan in Philadelphia, to run against Democratic U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak, according to party sources.

So, if true, the GOP scramble to "duel" Sestak has resulted in the GOP's primary dueler failing to show up and leaving his "second" to take the bullet.

The "W" stands for "Wendell". Wendell Williams does satisfy one of the comic book staples of having names with alliteration. (Lex Luthor, Peter Parker, Lois Lane, etc.)

Hi David:

I thought there was a certain amount of irony in the opponent dropping the Wendell and instead showcasing his name as "Craig". Am the only one to think it somewhat humorous that a republican would willingly embrace the name "Craig"...?
In any event in the interest of supporting him, as an FYI, we are hosting a fundraiser/reception for Joe Sestak on Jan. 25th from 7-9 at our home. Suggested amount of indiv. donation is $125, but ANY donation will be warmly welcomed. It'll be a small enough venue that everyone should get a chance to speak with him. Anyone wanting further info can reach me at dloganesq@aol.com. Deb Logan

I found it ironic that Curt Weldon was actually:
Wayne Curtis Weldon

and now we have

Wendell Craig Williams

Both WCW.

I guess it makes sense for them to have the same initials, as they both carry the same worn-out GOP baggage.

As for fundraisers for Sestak, my position is for voters to Defund Sestak until he starts voting to Defund the War.

Back in May, after Joe's ill considered vote to give Bush a blank check, I forcefully told the campaign they will not get another dime from me and to remove me from their donor mailing list. I also removed my Sestak bumper sticker from my car.

I strongly recommend that other Democrats disapppointed (or infuriated) by Joe's Iraq votes let him know by refusing to donate to his campaign and show him first hand how motivating defunding can be.

For those Democrats that already sent his campaign money: ASK FOR YOUR MONEY BACK!

Back in August, when Norman Hsu got in trouble, Sestak couldn't give away Hsu's donation fast enough. While committing a felony is a sure way to get back your campaign contribution, I recommend asking the Sestak campaign first. :-)

I think if enough 2008 donors asked for their money back AND refused to send more, it would send a clear message about how they feel about getting out of Iraq and the FALSE arguments (that Joe buys into) that defunding the war doesn't support the troops.
